02 Maxima Codes P0507 & P1800 After Throttle Body Cleaning
***UPDATE***
Had a friend erased the codes with a scanner has been gone since. thanks guys
Hello Guys i bought a 2002 nissan maxima with 139k on it. I decided to do some maintenance including fuel filter, air filter, cabin air filter, both A/C and power steering belts, spark plugs including Nissan plenum gasket. All the parts were OEM parts from Nissan.
Once i removed the intake manifold i noticed the throttle body had black carbon build up so i decided to go ahead and clean that.
long story short I then had code P0507. I searched here and found a member posted a link to a video on how to reset the ecu with the throttle body. My idle is back to normal at around 700rpms.
That same day i disconnected the battery so the check engine light can reset. the next day the check engine light was still on. About a week after this i decided to connect the scanner again and now I have codes P0507 & P1800. now I am thinking i should of just left it alone how it was before lol.
any inputs will help, thanks guys

there is threads that go into depth around here, but when you cleaned the throttle body did you push the blade open? i have read if you pushed the blade open with your hand you may need to replace the throttle body, that damages it. the correct way to clean the tb is to put key in ignition, turn to the run position, then use a board/rock/friends foot to hold the gas pedal on the floor. this way the throttle body id opened on it own will and not shoved open
it kills me how guys disconnect battery and do relearns and all this stuff. all you need is a $30 scanner and you can avoid all that. not to mention you can use the scanner in the emissions parking lot to make sure you pass if you have a light on. heres the one i have:
its even cheaper now then when i bought it. $25 and this thing will answer all of your questions.
