I have a 2001 maxima 20th anniversary and since the day I bought it I've had issues with the transmission. When you make a turn or just driving around about 20 m.p.h the transmission slips and revs until you let off the gas then catches and shifts hard. I've taken it to the dealership and a transmission shop and both say it's fine. The dealership even told me that it's normal for nissans to do that. I wanted to throw something at the idiot for that comment. The car only has 88,000 miles on it and is under warranty where I bought it but the won't do anything because it's not throwing any codes. Any suggestions on what I should do?

 

Go to a different dealer and go for a ride with a tech and get it to act up. Then have them diagnose it and give the bill to the place you bought it from.

 

Check youR TPS, mine did the same thing when my was out of wack, get a multi meter, and the FSM, you want it to sit at around .60v ( sweet spot) i can almost guarentee its your TPS.
