Courtsey Nissan v. Stillen STB

Does anyone have a preference between the Courtesy STB and the Stillen?

If I recall, it depends on the look that you want (or $$$)... The Courtesy one is shiny and has the red rings at both ends. The Stillen one is more of a flat finish and isn't red.

Also depends on how much you want to pay. The Courtesy costs about half as much as the Stillen and is available for an '02 right now while the last I heard Stillen said they were working on theirs. Go fgiure.

yeah, i have a preference...i like Stillen's far better than the Courtesy one...for two reasons..1) looks soooo much better than the courtesy piece. 2) i only live 10 minutes away from Stillen so i don't have to pay for shipping

but yeah, Stillen FSTB is far more expensive than the courtesy piece yet they do the exact same thing..

The Stillen 02 Max FSTB may be a 3 point design which "could" prove to be more rigid than the 2 point Courtesy design.

bar

They both do the same thing. I have the Courtsey FSTB and it seems to be made well. Kinda like the polished look with the red ends, but the reason I got it was that it is much less expensive than the Stillen.

Get the Courtsey and save a few $$. Even if the Stillen looked better (a matter of opinion) who's gonna see it? Save the extra $$ for an appearance mod. I have the Courtsey, looks nice, no regrets.

I like my Courtesy bar....they both basically do the same, just look different and the prices are different (stillen being more expensive).

Re: Courtsey Nissan v. Stillen STB

After doing a search, reading, and then reading some more I've decided to buy from Courtesy. It looks good and it has a better price.

Now, please don't ask about RSB.... YIKES!!!!!!

I appreciate everyone's opinion. I just wanted to verify if there was a difference between the two that would justify the price difference. I plan to go with the Courtesy.

FWIW, I have a 2001 AE Edition Gray Lustre. I just got the 2002 tailights installed...WAY COOL!!!

I know there's been a lot of talk about the 3M Invisible Bra and I did get the Stongard installed. For about $700 installed they did the grille, hood, side mirrors, door edges, headlights, foglights, and rear fender. SO MUCH better than the leather bras...NO COMPLAINTS. If you live near Dayton, OH I can give you the number to the installer.

After this, next on my plate is to do something with the y-pipe.

THANKS AGAIN!!!

Yeah, Buy the stealin' if you want quality. The Courtesy bar is made in Taiwan and it feels like it. They give you these cheap a*s chrome bolts that screw with the thread pattern. Both my bolts got stuck and I had to snap them in half after I was told to hand tighten the red plates by the instrc.'s on courtesy's page. Shouldve tightened them in the first place. Anyways, the C bar is cheap, if that's what you're looking for..

I agree the chrome bolts that come with the Courtesy are cheap and shouldn't be used, but I personally was able to replace them for less than the $108 difference in price between the Stealin and the Courtesy. As far as quality goes, just what do you think these things are doing??? How exactly is the Stealin "quality" going to add anything measurable to the handling on your car, assuming of course that's why you were adding a FSTB??? Your sense of "feel" must be WAY more refined than mine because I'll be damned if I can tell where something is made based on how it "feels".

The areas they covered --

hood, all door edges, grille, side mirrors, top of rear fender where the trunk meets it, front quarter panels by the wheel well, head lights and fog lights.

The person who did it was Rudy Poa out of Kettering, he lives right around the corner from me.
