Tranny Shot?
Tranny Shot?
So over time I've had a clunk going from P to D that developed to get worse and worse. Now when I'm driving the acceleration seems wacky and it won't change gears. The RPMs keep going without shifting. When it does shift it gets a jump into the next gear. Do I need a new tranny or can this be something else?
Aren't there a bunch of shift solenoids that control gear shifts? If one of those are bad I imagine it would do that. Maybe TC going bad? How's the fluid and how many miles on the trans?
IIRC the solenoids would store a code in the TCU if they are bad(0/D or A/T light would blink 16 times upon start up). Do as galactica said and check that your fluid is at the correct level and doesn't smell burnt.
Ok so I drove it yesterday and I noticed that when accelerating the RPM's keep on building as said before and I have to let off a little and get back on the gas for it to upshift...Weird..
