Gavin68's thread got me thinking again and I have been wondering for a while now. Is it possible to swap the stubby wiper & headlight/foglight controls from a '02+ Max/I35 into a '00-'01 Max/I30? I found a thread asking the same question but it wasn't answered.

 

No. The internal workings/contacts inside the switches are different because of the different headlight systems. The 2000 & 2001 use incandescent lamps whereas the 2002 & 2003 have HIDs. Also the wire harness connectors are different.
