What color to paint my car?

Almost sold my maxima; pulled away at the last second when the buyer came. So with that said I have decided to purchase new wheels and give it a new paintjob. So with that said, I have narrowed it down to three colors so vote and comment based on the ones stated. Thanks

I would stay away from the Metallic. Looks less shiny than gloss.

I've had three black cars; I hate how you can see every imperfection as soon as a little light strikes it. Its obnoxious; only plus thing is that you can put any rims on a black car and they look good.

Strip the car down to bare metal, brush it, and then clear coat so it won't rust. Paint the plastic bumpers silver to match. Think of it as a 4 door DeLorean.

^Just do a forum search for majestic blue. 03VQ has merlot above and my car is black. For the metallic colors just picture it a lot more shiny and glossy. Sort of flakey.

Bump. Anyone who's reading and hasn't voted. Vote

Ok....sorry I didn't know I was automatically supposed to assume anything with pink = breast cancer. And here I thought pink was a color before it was picked as the representative color used in fight against breast cancer...silly me, right?

You may want to be careful with what you say....

Then leave the thread. I don't really GAF about what you think about my rims and the color if your not gonna comment on the paintjob; there strictly for a family relative who passed away.. go troll another thread. Is silly that the thread had nothing to do with the color of my rims considering it says above new rims are on the way. But thanks.

Honestly I didn't see the correlation of pink wheels with breast cancer awareness. Maybe if you also had a ribbon or something to go with it? Also, sorry for your loss of a family member.

Car was in two parades past summer riding along side of two local BC organizations; in Maine we have breast cancer plates. Countless people ask me why pink wheels? An it gives me the opportunity to tell them why; get them more aware of it. Promote awareness. Some say pointless. But I'm doing my part to do what I can.

if you did end up keeping the rims for whatever reason. i think it would be really cool to have the breast cancer symbol painted on one spoke of each rim.

OP: Chill out. Pink is pink. It's Pink. You know? The Colour? Pink?

Either way the reasoning is fine with me, I think it's awesome, but if you're going to get all snappy every time someone says something about you having pink rims in a negative way, maybe you need to rethink the reasoning.
Pink is Pink, it's not automatically associated with anything except the colour, unless advertised as such. A ribbon or two might be a good idea if you're going for the 'auto-association' thing. Otherwise you need to expect you'll get some people who think you simply painted them pink because you think it looks 'mad cool'. And the haters will flow in.

And getting all up in arms about it is a poor way to represent what could otherwise be a very positive and meaningful Cause/Purpose.

Anyways, Merlot. Still merlot, there's really no question about it.

It's the fact that the thread had nothing to do with my wheels that it was brought up; there was another thread for that. That's the reason why; I've gotten a lot of hate and I generally don't care I mean its my car; but the threads purpose it based on the color of the car not wheels. Thanks though

It's the internet. You posted a car with pink wheels. Thread subject has to do with colour. Even if it didnt, its the internet.
If anything you've received little to NO hate here, at all. A year or less ago you'd have been flamed out of the room, there have been a recent slew of outlandish painted rims lately though, so it was no surprise to see more of them.

IJS.

Stock Black...Color change = way more money and not worth it for a 10 year old car IMO.

Why ask the org opinion about paint colour? I'm just saying if we all said paint it hot pink would you? We're not the ones who's driving the car so paint it what ever colour you like then ask for opinions on the actual finish. At the end of the day you're gonna paint it according to you preference and budget. Just saying
