upgrade maf 5th gen
So you want a 2.75" MAF, thats not the nissan one? That doesnt make much sense. The whole point of getting an aftermarket MAF is to get a bigger one for the performance gains.
Also, if it comes from eBay, it probably isnt that great.

No I do want bigger if it will work, I've been searching all over and still haven't found my answer. I am looking to get a little more out of my intake, I plan to get a SAFC II or something similar to calculate and control the air flow. On top of that a 2+ deg advance timing..
For the 3.5" or even a 3.0" MAF tube I think I would need a custom Flange (adapter) for the pop charger.
I saw a dyno on the org where a member got gains nearly across the whole curve with this and several other mods. Without the custom IM he was at 265whp and 280whp with the custom IM. Pretty impressive

I just bought the pop charger before thinking about going with a larger MAF tube. Shoulda maybe waited, but oh well. There's gotta be a way to use the pop charger with a larger MAF. I'll continue to search.
i didnt mean 3.5" i meant what is the stock maf housing size for my VQ35DE engine? i would like to the stock size housing in aluminum to make my injen intake look better.
3.5 is what im using. I put down 264 on a 3 inch, and with the 3.5 inch ive put down 267. While the peak was a gain, it lost a bit of low end. Through more tuning, it holds the same peak, BUT i have picked up considerably more down low. 10-15whp from 3000rpm all the way up to 5500 where it hits peak, and maintains pretty much to 7k redline.
Its a worthwhile mod if you have a means of tuning. Pics are in my links of a similar setup.

That's good info. What size filter are you using and how does it connect to the MAF? Where did u get the 3.5" MAF?
SAFC should be enough to tune for now wouldn't you think?
Damn dude, you have 3 Maxima's? Was looking through the pics and saw them.. Sweet Max by the way, looks real nice
