Replace cabin air filter & check blower motor

In most cases, bad smell in cabin is a result of dirty cabin air filter and its housing. Cabin filter is due to be replaced according to driving condition, but recommanded by manuals to change it every 12 months. you just can't imagine what you could find in the filter housing.

Whenever I've replaced my cabin air filter, which I just did a few days ago, I've noticed a lot of dirt and leaves behind the filters. I know they have to be stopping some dirt, as the filters are always really dirty within a year, but I wonder why large leaves seem to be able to get right past them.
