2002 mafs replacement
2002 mafs replacement
Hi, I'm thinking about replacing my mafs. The 2k2 2k1 mafs swap seems very simple. My trip meter reads 14 mph. Since I bought the car back in may 110k miles the mph has never changed from 14, even when I reset the reading by holding the trip button it doesn't change, my mpg reads 18.1, it has gone as low as 13 and as high as 19.1, dte is always fluctuating, I Could start the car at 126 dte, 5 miles later its down to 101. Basically my trip meter is very unreliable. From what I read replacing the mafs should improve the accuracy of my trip meter and improve my mpg. Just wanted to confirm this. Also is replacing the mafs a good precaution measure?
No need to fix what ain't broke.
When you fill up, see how many miles you've driven then divide that number by how many gallons the car took to fill up. That will give you an accurate MPG reading.
