We're talkin' bout a 2001 i30...

I had my driver's side rear tire off for a little unplanned roadside maintenance (stupid nails) and happened to notice the hoses running from the fuel filler down to the tank, as well as some other related lines.

I found it odd that there wasn't a cover of some sort over these -- the lines are all exposed and open in the fender. Is there supposed to be a cover that maybe a bodyshop forgot to re-install at some point, or was this a classic case of saving $1.43 per vehicle by not installing a cover?

 

Your cover is missing. I got one in my Maxima 01 SE.

Maybe your car was a vicitm of some kind of crash and that cover just got screwed.

 

Or in this case, Unscrewed...
