The other day I bought a PCV to replace it as part of the tune up, change my plugs, oil, air and filter, but where is the heck the PCV located, since i looked and looked and can not find it, someone told me it's behind and under the throttle body, I still can not find it. maybe i"m blind or something. Has anyone changed their and where is the heck it is at?

It took a little searching for me to find it also. On my '03 I-35, the PCV was on the passenger side, on the firewall side of the engine. Follow a medium sized hose down there, clamps on both ends.

I don't see a pcv valve either...

 

The picture in post #2 is of the pcv hose, if you follow it downward to the other end...its connected to the pcv valve.

 

lol yes guys the PCV hose usually goes to the PCV valve. Almost every nissan uses that metal bracket in some configuration as well. So if you can find metal piping and a hose about 3.8in then chances are its the PCV system

according the OP's info he has an 01

 

Now, now people let's not confuse the OP. He has a 2001, not a 2002/2003, and therefore his PCV is on the driver's side underneath the throttle body and intake manifold.

As ShocknAwe posted in the picture he will have to follow that line down to the PCV.

OP...you'll need to remove your intake to gain access to the PCV. Do that first, then follow the PCV line to the valve. Once you spot the valve simply use the line to pull it out (it does not unscrew). Be careful as there is a rubber grommet between the valve and the intake manifold. Make sure it doesn't break apart and get lost in the intake manifold. To be on the safe side you might want to get another grommet from the dealer BEFORE going to replace the valve.

Not necessarily. I've been able to replace the PCV valve on my '01 without removing the intake. It's definitely a tight, awkward working space, though.

 

Replaced mine on Sunday. I have an 01 and it was definetly a tight work space.

 

True, but since I have large hands I have had to remove the OEM intake to get to the PCV. If you have small hands it can be done just fine without OEM intake removal.

 

Thanks for the info and the pic really helps. In that case with the tight space, I would have to get a lady with small hand to pull it, cuz no way in hell i would put mine, since I got large hands. hehehe
