CAI vs. POP charger

I was curious as to how many people have had trouble with there CAI's. Water logging, water bypass and things of that nature that can hurt the engine. I know the benefits of having cold air opposed to air from the engine bay, but what about the risks? Is the CAI that much better than the POP? I don't have a beater car to drive around in the rain, so I'd have to drive the max. One more Q: has anyone made a flang or surrounding built to protect from heat for the POP charger? Any success?

I don't think anyone here has a had a problem with sucking up water through any type of CAI with or without a bypass.... just don't drive through high standing water and things should be ok.

i have a CAI and never had water problems. BTW, you have no business driving thru water of unknown depth anyway. But let me tell you the intake sound difference on a CAI is unbelievable compared to a Pop Charger. Go for the CAI. If you are really paranoid, get a bypass valve.
