Full Size Spare in 2K SE Trunk

Does anyone know if you can fit a full size spare in the compartment in the 2000 SE. I am getting new tires and would like to buy a rim and have a full size spare.

Not sure if it will fit though ?

Thanks
Jeff

If I remember correctly, other people have already tried this... The tire fits in the space, however, its too tall and will leave a bump in the trunck space.

Who needs a spare? Does a Lamborghini come with a spare?
What about a Ferrari?
What about a Dodge Viper?

Why should a Maxima be any different, just get rid of it and use it as space, that is what I am doing......... soon that is.

A 19" spare tire would take up so much room it's not worth it. Plus it's expensive to have that kind of a spare.

Works ok

I got 18s and have one of my stock 16s in the spare tire well. It sits a little high, but not so high that you can't use the trunk space. There's a cardboard piece that covers the tire and evens out the trunk floor well enough. It's not flat, but it's not too bad either.

As for BigDogJonX, you'd better knock on some wood!

Try the i35 trunk inlay. I don't know if all i35's come with it, but if you order it with the full-sized spare, they put a thing/inlay that is form-fitted for the trunk and surrounds the tire. It gives you storage pockets under the trunk floor liner, but I think it's primary purposes is to lift the base up to clear the tire.

That might fit in the Max too.. If not, it probably wouldn't be far off and could be adjusted (it just feels like a really sturdy styrofoam-type material).

Sounds like a plan!!! I always hated that cardboard-like inlay in the maxima trunk.. (on top of that, Mine is bent, so it sticks up a little on the sides!!!)

any idea how much one from an I35 would cost?

Hey jeff, ever consider taking out the spare and replacing it with a 15 inch kicker solo-baric???
