Do Non-HLSD axels work for a HLSD Trans?

Upgrading from a open diff tranny to a HLSD tranny. I need to make sure if my regular axels will fit my HLSD 6MT tranny.

I've read that the DS Axel must be a HLSD Axel and some say both must be HLSD and some say there are no difference.

There's no difference from what I can tell. I replaced pass side with a remanufactured one and it was identical. Master Pro brand from oreillys.
