rear trailing arm bushing swap ..?

so im gonna install the ES bushings tonight in my RTA's. I have seen the how to's and such and recieved directions from ES but i am somewhat lost.
I know how to drop the rear and get it ready to remove the old ones. What im just curious on is these metal rings in the stock bushings. Do i need to reinstall the rings or are those junk. When i go to installthe bushings i know there is a tab inside that needs to be groud down..
once that is done and it is clean do i just install the bushings...no reinstall of the rings or anything else...

Once you cut out the old rubber you cut out the ring inside the bushing housing and that ring is now junk and you install the polyurethane bushing directly into the now clean bushing housing
