Just bought a 2000 maxima last week with 119k miles...

At startup, and this is a cold start or a warm start doesn't make a difference, about 75% of the time.

At startup it starts, then falls on it's face for about half a second, then recovers like it's being choked up, then it's smooths out and is fine, all of this take 2 seconds 3 at most.

It's throwning a P1320 error half the time, so.. research told me that coils and plugs wouldn't be a bad idea regardless, so i changed all of those out. (nissan coils, ngk plugs)

Still the same thing, and again it's not a when it's cold thing its just about any time.

Otherwise... motor runs very strong, idle under load is smooth as butter, accelerates smoothly and strongly, yet i'm still getting a 1320 error...

Pulled plugs didn't look terrible they looked like plugs with a 120k miles on em.

My next guess is again due to mileage and wouldn't be a bad prventative maintenance item any a new MAF...

Any other ideas, something to even worry about.??

Update..

Just went in to Oreilly's and had the code read again.. Still P1320.. nothing else..

They cleared the code, got in the car and started it up, it started smooth the code stayed off...

Drove half a mile to the gas station filled it up, got in the car and started it and it sputtered at startup and the SES, immediately came back on and is now on solid....(the tcs and slip lights also on)

Same startup as described above, takes 2 to 3 seconds max to smooth out and run fine..

noticed any changes at idle when you are a stop light or anything like that?

Smooth as a baby's butt under load at idle, driving down the road, passing acceleration..etc.....
