5.5 Clutch Replacement

I've just noticed that my clutch is beginning to slip. I am going to attempt to replace it myself. I know I need a clutch disk, clutch cover, release bearing, alignment tool, and pilot bushing. Is there anything else I need, or anything else I should replace while the transmission is out? I have a stock 2002 with 151,000 miles.

Another question, should I go with an OEM clutch or a performance aftermarket? Any other brand you'd recommend?

Check rear main seal too, have to pull the tranny to replace that.

Yeah, that's on the list. Might just buy one and replace it for the heck of it. I know it's not leaking now but...151,000 miles...

Any recommendations on clutch brand? Should I go with a performance clutch or just OEM?

if you plan on keeping it for a while and drive it daily, go with an oem but a "stage 1" clutch would just give you more a bite but you prolly wouldnt notice it. anything stronger then that is not needed unless your going forced induction. I had a stage 3 6 puck clutch on my old integra that i boosted and it was not fun to drive daily. Or you can do what other people have done and put the 350Z clutch in.

It is definitely a DD. I put about 90-100 miles a day on her. I would love to do forced induction but I doubt it will ever happen, just a bit too pricey and I wouldn't know where to start. Is the 350Z clutch a direct replacement? How is it better than the Max OEM clutch?

Be careful with that z clutch, it is sprung which means having a dual mass flywheel like we do, could be an issue.
