Timing chain rattle

I have what seems to be a timing chain rattle at start up. After a few seconds it will stop and everything will run smooth. It's not a rough start just a rattle. Has any of you experienced this and what's a fix?

Try changing the oil filter to a different brand. Which filter is installed on the car now?

Ive got the same issue on my 2000 max. It doesnt affect anything, it just rattles like you said. I looked it up and the tensioner is the issue, and unfortunately its like a $1200 fix because they have to pull the motor to be able to get to it. I have found that keeping the oil topped and using premium gas really nutralizes it, but it will still appear every once in a while. Hope I could help.

It has been covered quite a bit here. Its not a big deal and probably not worth dealing with unless it gets worse.
