car accident!
Beware of bad/old tires on wet roads! I'm okay and no one else was involved, so that's good...
the bad news:
I spun around twice on the 101 and ended up flying through the bushes in the center divide at 60 mph... Really scary. The car held up really well, but the paint job is destroyed, also destroyed my right front strut and knocked off my right mirror....
I had the front strut replaced- but now since its new metal in there, its making a whining noise between 1k-2k rpms... That along with my right mirror was 1000$ then, the car is scratched over 90% of the body and so that is another roughly 7000$ to repaint and refinish! ouch! Thank god for insurance...
Anyways... just thought I'd let ya'll know how much it costs for even minor pain repairs, but at least they'll paint over all those paint chips that I already had
Oh yeah, I'm buying rain resistant new tires and rims... potenza re 730's this time on smith twister wheels. I'm gonna have a new car almost! new paint, new tires, new rims, new right mirror
Be careful out there!

Sorry to hear about your car. Glad to hear you are OK though (that is most important).
I agree with you and your comments about bad tires. With my 4th Gen Maxima, I was driving along on a very lightly snow covered road at 30mph and the car just lost control and did a 360. I didn't do anything at all and was going in a straight line at a constant speed. My car had the stock tires with about 19K miles on them (they were about 50% worn out). I luckily didn't hit anything or anyone. Needless to say, I dumped those crappy tires about a week later.
