I want purple fog lights on my black Max, which one of these will work.

So I was looking at different H3 fog bulbs on ebay. I plan to just switch out the bulbs that are currently in my stock fogs. One of the ebay ads claims to be easy instal HID conversion, will this work?

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Xenon-Violet-...c0f58e&vxp=mtr

Then there is also this one that says its just a LED SMD Xenon Bulb, also H3, and should just be a straight switch out for the bulbs. But would these provide a decently bright light?

I'm quite unsure on what will work and what I should be doing to get a satisfactory look.

Thanks for the advice, forum.

This...

Cops around here used to be really lax enforcing laws, but they've really cracked down lately. No sense in making a cop magnet for yourself.

The purple LED bulbs you have listed will shine purple but they won't be bright enough to project onto the road. The HID bulbs you link to would probably work but they do not include the ballasts to complete the conversion to HID. You need to find a complete HID kit. The color you want is probably 25,000k to 30,000k. Also, as stated above, check the laws in your area before doing this. Might save you a ticket.
Try something like this...

Looks like he's only wanting to do his fog lights. I doubt he expects usefulness out of this.

The ones I listed are my definition of a cheap solution that will still provide the look I'm going for.

However, if I wanted to get brighter more functional lights, this guy on the org claims to have 6000k H3s and its white with a noticeable purple tinge. How much would something like this cost and how hard would it be to implement?

That is not 6000K. I have 6000K on both my fog lights and headlights. It looks like this...

I posted a link in my previous post with what you would need. Here it is again.

Looks like about $60 to implement.
I bought my kit from DDM Tuning but they do not offer the deeper purple colors. Here's a chart.

Like I said, if you want true purple you are going to need 25000K - 30000K. Getting them to operate independent of the headlights is another trick altogether. There should be a thread around here on how to do that.

Here's a pic of 30,000K headlights. This is probably what you want. DO NOT DO YOUR HEADLIGHTS. The visibility is crap.
