on a cold start....at about a minute into the drive, I can hit warp speed from what seems to be an awesome mix of a/f and timing. goes back to normal quickness at operating temperature.

I love how mustangs jump into the next lane when they see my 6000k headlights and fog lights rushing up behind them on the freeway. I love the look on their faces when they realize they are getting passed by a four door sedan.

I love when lames try to do this ricer fly by when I'm in the mustang and I get to do a 75 mph rolling burnout beside them. And its true, it usually starts with hids in the rearview. The best is if they have a 20 mph running start and it doesn't help them.

But in the maxima, I like... Getting over 20 mpg?

I love when stock Mustang owners think the can do a 75 mph rolling burnout.
Seriously, what are you packing under the hood? I'd say 90% of the stangs around here are punk *** kids with six cylinder automatics that think they're hot ****.

H/c/i/full bolt ons. But most people want to brag about beating a stock 5.0, but not many people realize they were only rated at 225hp(245hp for the cobra) and only make around 200 at the wheels stock. But all they need is some top end work, the stocks heads only flow 160 cfm, they are done pulling at 5k.

The Mustang 5.0's are definitely capable of speed, I just never understood why Ford choked them so badly. It's a poor mans sports car. It looks pretty but that's about all they have. Just seems every 16 yo kid and his brother drive those things around here like it's a Veyron. Maybe it's the attitude of the typical Stang driver that pisses me off. Maybe I'm not much better. At least I have better taste in cars.

Don't get me wrong a H/C/I 5.0 is a solid 12 second car (depending on the heads you get)...but 75mph rolling burnouts? That setup shouldn't be making more than 350rwhp tops.

I know of a couple in the 11's.

Depends on the rest of the car though

Haven't taken the 95 to the track but when I had a 308 in my fox body with very similar hci, it made 328rwhp and ran consistent 12.1s. But hci on the motor in my truck, lq4 6.0L, and were talking 500-550 flywheel. 500 hp out of a production 5.0 block and the block splits down the lifter valley

Yea I can't tell you how many times I've talked with a G/Z owner and they are looking at my Maxima and ask what engine is in it, and when I tell them it's a VQ35 you can tell they are shocked that it has the same engine as their cars. Then if they say, "Oh, it's got the same engine as a 350z?" I always joke around and say "No, the 350z has the same engine as a Maxima" since the Max came out in '02 with the VQ35 Most of them are good spirited and can take a joke...but sometimes I come across some G/Z owners that don't find it very funny

take that back, found a few small leaks in the crankcase ventilation hose and sealed them up. she hits warp speed ALL the time now.

apparently the ecu was dumping fuel in it to offset the small leaks after the MAF(explains my 19-20mpg).

I love the sound of it, when merging on the freeway pedal to the floor, and just seeing that speedometer just climb, and when people are always on my @$$ just punching it and leaving there @$$ behind.....

I love when I'm in traffic and see someone behind me suddenly accelerate, I guess they're going to try and cut me off to take the next exit. and I punch it and they're suddenly 2 car lengths behind wondering why they tried that bonehead move. I also love dreaming of the day I won't have a CEL .

I had a 94 Mustang Gt Sn95 Body that would chirp the hell out of tires if slamed down in 4th gear and floored. yeah its on 225hp stock but what moves them beast is the 300ft lb torque they have STOCK! Mine was a 331 Stroker with Edelblock Heads,Ford racing roller rockers,255lph Fuel pump,GT40 intake..Basicly it has everything And NO Maxima could of out ran it untill after 120mph cause car felt unstable at high speeds. it was a all motor BEAST and cant wait to build another one!

One thing i love that My maxima Does is STOP! i love how i can hit 100mph and stop to 30mph sooo fast, the brakes are so powerful a M3 couldn't stop as fast as my max....found that out when me n a m3 was cruising 80mph and we got cut off and slammed on our brakes from 80mph down to 50mph and at 60 he gave me a good bump when we pulled over he was like DAMN that car stops Quick i looked at size of his calipers and rotors and was like damn i guess so!

i have stock rotors all around and duralast GOLD ceramic pads all around lol

I don't know what edition Maxima you got. Must've been the GT-R race package.

The brakes on the Maxima are pathetic...
