howcome in the 5th gen maxima, the rear speakers are in the doors, where as the other models they were behind the rear window? I found out that it worsens the quality of sound. The 4th gen bose system sounds betta then our 5th gen, and the 4th gen also sounds betta cuz the rear speakers, are on the top behind the rear window.

 

I noticed the same thing as far as sound quality goes. My buddys 5th gen bose doesn't sound as nice as mine (4th gen). Another point, the I30 BOSE system, it's a 98 I30 sounds better then my 99 Max. Bose system. Strange huh?? The 98 I30 and my 99 SE-L are the same car.

 

yup thats what i noticed too. Is there anyway to install the old bose from the 4th gen into the 5th gen? I also found out that the 4thgen has even better bass coming from the speakers then the 5th gen, even with its woofer. I dont think the woofer really does anything in the 5th gen system accept rattle a lot.

 

Speaking of is there anyway to get rid of that god forsaken rattle? I never heard a woofer rattle so much listening to PUNK. What gives?
