So what's the difference with the oem muffler look alike by cattman (although completely open), compared to a large diameter round muffler? Simply sound?

Internal design which directly impacts sound quality. Certainly the main reason Cattman is quiter than other aftermarket 3" systems.

I'm too excited for this. I hope we can get picture updates along in the process, at least through email or something for the buyers. First time buyer of Cattman, always wanted to but couldn't afford it in past years. Glad I got in on the new exhaust with the larger resonator, I like to keep it as sleeper as possible

The larger resonated 3" catback will be exactly like this except the resonator, Cattman loves bullet style reonators....I used a Magnaflow 6" round muffler.....

Here's some volumetric comparisons for the resonator section:
1. Straight tubing- 216.36 cu. in.
2. 4" Resonator- 276.32 cu. in. (volume is just the resonator body)
3. 5" Resonator- 431.75 cu. in. "
4. 6" Resonator- 508.68 cu. in. "

Cattman should be close to ordering his material soon guys so it's more than likely in process.......the pics ^^ (above) ^^ are of a Cattman 3" catback in which I fitted a 6" round Magnaflow muffler 12649 to reduce the volume in my 03 A/T TE....and it was successful enough to setoff a Newer Version of Cattman's 3" catback....which was TOP NOTCH already.....my personal taste wanted a little less volume during slow traffic cruising and 60-70 mph highway cruising which happens to be in the drone zone with this A/T....So hang on it will be a few weeks in production and b4 you know it it will be at your doorsteps.....Cattman's catback would cost about $1200-$1500 in the real world so guys let's appreciate this Dude for all the cool stuff he brings us Maxima fanatics...........

Trust me, I appreciate every last thing being done. This couldn't have happened at a better time, I truly believe it was meant to be lol. As soon as production starts, ill be checking this thread every hour for updates. I'm getting the fastcat too, so I can't wait to let her fly with some real power and an exhaust to match the intake.

Finish it off with a 3" test pipe. Works really well with this set-up.

In the past Cattman has shipped to Canada. And the install is actually very easy, so I doubt you should need an installer.

CMax, do you have that 6" resonator/muffler on your current 3" Cattman set-up? IF so, I'd like some sound clips.

Already been done my friend. Check this page, page before maybe, and page after. Everything you might want to know about it, including sound clips.

The 15 has been met. Emails for all preorders are going out and should be received by the end of the week.

You can still order an exhaust if you like. Don't miss out guys. Exhaust goes into production only a few times a year and then you have to be on a waiting list.

I want one but I am in CANADA.

How much is the shipping / duty fees / taxes?

Any mechanics near Guelph/Mississauga and are willing to give me good deal on installation, PM ME!

Get a hold of Cattman (Call him, or PM him on here) and ask him. Also, if I can install one, you can too. Simply bolt on, no lift needed, no welding, all you need is a set jack stands and a small set of sockets, and a jack.

Or, post/ask in here:

Resonated or non resonated? I have a 2.5 inch resonated type and will be upgrading to the 3" after the 3" exhaust. I heard w/o the resonated version you get rasp.

Damn, when I ordered over the phone he was certain I would have the exhaust by no later than March 1st, with March 1st being a late deadline. Hopefully he is able to still stick by that. It's been hard not spending this money on suspension/ 6th gen brakes, etc lol
