P0128

i was wondering what kind of problems can relate to a code P0128?

my car has a bad sputter wich i posted up in another thread, http://forums.maxima.org/5th-generat...7-shaking.html.

tonight as i got close to home i noticed that my temperature gauge was a bit lower than usual and i didnt feel any sputter or hesitation for the past mile or 2.. so i went ahead and stopped the car than floored it through 1st 2nd and 3rd and didnt get any sputtering or hesitation. this was all after a 1 hour drive from work.

could there be some kind of connection between my engine sputtering and the code P0128?

I doubt it's causing your shaking but you should check your coolant levels and replace your thermostat with a new OEM. If this doesn't solve your P0128 then you could possibly have a bad engine coolant temp sensor.

just seems odd that after about a hour of driving the sputter goes away. ive been thinking it has to do with the engine temperature cause it only does it when the motor is fully warmed up. than last night after an hour drive from work the temperature gauge seems a bit lower than usual and the sputter goes away completely.

I had a Camry once that was running like crap when it was cold. I had a similar code, replaced the coolant temp sensor and it cleared up.

I know it affects the air fuel ratio. when my crx had air in the cooling system it would run real bad. it would flood the motor at idle and take a while to crank up.
