6pin over 5 pin MAF , difference? HELP!
Hi ,
I am going through some issues with my max , stalling at idle and not starting..
recently replace the MAF , and IACV, all of a sudden one day after a good long drive about 100 miles away from home my max decide it didn't want to start,? $$$ tow home :-(
question , i picked up another MAF , but it is the 6 pin design with the thermo resistor attached, does this make a difference even though my connector has the 6th pin deleted?
I unplugged the MAF and was able to get the car started and hold idle, but when give any amount of gas if stalls and is hard to restart.. so I want to think it is either the MAF went bad or the replacement one wit the TR attached is no good, or my eBay IACV **** the bed and possibly fried my ECU, need to pull ECU to verify if the chip is smoked. NO codes!
I have found I am a very good auto mechanic, with yrs of car tuning exp. and based off of hte tip and trick found on here.the directions to replace all the parts have been easy to say the least. I must have all the right tools.
this is starting to cost me .. not what i planned on a used car.
so far i have replaced:
NEW ALT
Coils
plugs
MAF
IACV
fuel filter
rad side o2 pre cat
dual o2 sims for post cats
leaky rad
what are the chance i need to replace the
cam sensor
temp sensor
TPS
crank sensor
not sure what the conditions when these fail or are failing?
Thanks,
Louied9
