Strange Gear / Air Conditioning Issue
Hi,
I tried searching the forums but I was unable to find any other post with similar issues.
I have a 2000 Nissan Maxima. The car runs perfectly fine normally. However on a hot day when I use the Air Conditioner quite heavily, at some point, the car stops changing gears. The car seems to be in the first gear and just revs without changing gears.
If I pull the car off to the side, let it cool down and start it up again, everything is back to normal and I can drive again.
I have had a mechanic inspect the transmission and also replace the transmission oil so I believe that's not an issue.
Anyone have any ideas or even suggestions as to what I can check to identify the problem?
