Intermittent Stiff Clutch

Hello all! I own a 2002 Maxima SE 6MT with LSD. Havent posted much, mostly just read to become more familiar with the car. I've had my car for a little over a month and love it. One problem that began today was, every now and then, the clutch pressure would be very extreme and difficult to press in. Let it out, and the pressure is back to normal. I have searched but most threads seem to be about a consistent pressure change, not an "every now and then" occurrence. When I got to work this afternoon, I popped the hood and saw a little bit of dirt/grime buildup where there clutch line meets the slave, so I imagine a leak could be an issue (and have read that it usually is), just wanted to see if anyone else had a problem like this and how they fixed it. Thanks in advance for any help!

BUMP.

This happened to me today!

the clutch started getting randomly harder to push in. one time, it would only go down half way. i lifted my foot off then tried again and it was perfect like nothing ever happened.

i checked the slave and the rubber hose had a leak where the banjo fitting is. i dont know if the leak is the cause of this or if the leak is the result of the random extreme pressure from the pedal getting stuck.. someone please chime in

fixed. turned out to be the rubber hose going to the slave cyl. i got one off of a 1999 maxima which was about 2 inches shorter but was able to make it work. clutch feels good now. im guessing the hose collapsed internally
