P0505, Vacuum Leak Pinpoint
Afternoon everyone,
I have an annoying issue at hand and hopefully your expertise on the matter can help. I have a 00 GXE auto, there is a vacuum leak that I wish to pinpoint.
I came across this issue after: clearing the p01320 code by buying and installing all six coils, the egr code by buying and installing the egr valve. After reassembly, I noticed a whistle that sounded like a turbo from around throttle body and intake opening. Drove around until the ecu popped the same P0505 code. So, I cleaned my throttle body thoroughly, and reassembled. The car popped the same code again, so it is clear that it is a vacuum leak because I did not cut my egr tube tip to a flat level. I have a variety of theories and hopefully one of my fellow orgers can provide their expertise.
The first theory: I pushed down on this pipe to obtain more room to take out my egr tube from the manifold opening. Would pushing down on this tube possibly warp the housing of the tube to create the vacuum leak issue in anyway?

This is a picture of the egr tube opening from the underside of the manifold opening. Am I supposed to put the black rtv gasket maker crap around the base of the egr tube to make sure there is a sealed fit?

What are the torque specs on tightening the egr tube or most of the screws in the engine bay? Is it a general setting? I tightened the bolt on the left of the manifold opening and it popped the head of the bolt clean off (thank God my face wasn't there because it was enough force to take out my eye).
I look forward to your help fellow orgers, Thanks in advance!!!
