I know you guys can help me with this question! I have 19x8" Axis Hagens with a +35 offset,that I put on my 2k1 Max SE. I want to push out the rear wheels,cuz they sit too far in the wheel well. What size spacer should I buy to push the rear tires out,so that they are flush with the rear quarter panels? Also can you recommend a quality product/company. My tires are 225/35/19 Toyo Proxes ZR4. (GOT THE WHEELS AND TIRES DIRT CHEAP!) Thank You very much guys!

 

I don't recomend pushing the back out farther than the front. But tanabe has spacers i think.

 

Why not? would it affect turning radius or something?

 

h&r also has spacers.

 

When you push the rear wheels out a little on a rear wheel drive car it tends to help handling and traction. Ive never seen it dun on a fwd car. I could be wrong but I would think it would cause more understeer, and a very wierd overall feel.

And yes H&R also has wheels spacers I was trying to think of them and coun't remember.

 

I bought a set of 15 mm spacers from Hogan (yoitsok) for my rear wheels. I have the same offset as you. 15 mm is about 3/4" and it still won't bring it out flush but will help quite a bit. I have yet to put mine on because I want to do it the same time as the springs...but now I am having second thoughts about those too! I have had all of the stuff for 3 months but I can't find anyone that will install them at a reasonable price...and I am kind of worried that I am going to hate the ride when I get done.

Anyone want to buy some progress springs still in the box?

 

I JUST WANT TO PUSH OUT THE REAR TIRES A BIT. IT LOOKS LIKE CRAP THE WAY THEY SIT SO FAR IN. THE FRONTS ARE FINE. DO YOU THINK 20MM WILL BE TOO MUCH? I DONT WANT THAT GHETTO LOOK WHERE THE TIRES STICK OUT SO MUCH YOU CLIP PEOPLE AS THEY ARE WALKING DOWN THE STREET!(JOKE)

lol. i don't think there will be a problem with putting spacers on. but i'm not positive. i want to get some eventually for my rear end and possibly the front end also.

yeah, it is. it's stock though. don't have the money to dump on it.

 

Sorry if this is obvious (or too late), but on all but the thinnest (maybe 5mm or less) spacers you will probably have to replace the wheel studs with longer ones as the stock studs won't be long enough to safely hold onto the wheel once mounted. I don't think a 15mm spacer would be just a "slip on" install. I think only the really thick spacers (check H&R's site?) have integral replacement studs built-in.

Because I bought 19x8" Axis Hagens on 225/35/19 Toyo Proxes for $1800 and they are chrome. The rims and tires were a week old!

I just installed the H&R spacers today! I went with 30mm in the rear and 10mm in the front. The car looks great! The rear is flush with the fender and so is the front. But I have 18X8, hope this helps.

 

What is the offset of your rims? Do you have pics? What brand of spacers did you buy? I want H&R spacers. I looked at their site, they don't have 10mm or 30mm spacers for Maximas.They only have 5,15,20,and 25mm spacers for the Max. Where did you get yours from?

15mm is just over 1/2 inch. Actually .6 inch. I've got some 15mm H&R spacers coming for my 18x8 HP wheels (38 offset) 15mm is about all a 2k2 will handle without rubbing when you hit larger bumps.
