If you're going with headers, then I would just leave it. Especially if it just popped up. If you do begin to get that smell though, might want to hurry and get those headers on, don't want the cats failing, although, doesn't seem to be much of a problem for the VQ30's.

Agreed. I'm not planning on running headers, but I recently had the same code and replaced Bank 2 Sensor 1 and have not shown a code since. Plus my mileage has been creeping back up too, which is nice. Lastly, my car quit bucking when cold like it was doing. Much smoother now.

Burning was a bit harsh, I meant cat smell, sulfur/hot etc.

just got this code today on my 02 infiniti. It first came up last week and reset it and changed the 02 sensor. Ive smelled rotten eggs for a while but this is the first time this 2nd time the code popped up, although ive noticed the car is a bit slower than normal too so this may be contributing to that. Good thing ive got a spare front pre cat tho. I may just install it for the time being and gut the one im taking off or get some a header since its on the front.
