Hahaha let's compare a all wheel drive system with a vehicle that's front wheel drive. Oh yeah Mercedes, hows that copying of Audi going? I'd still rock the '09+ Maxima.

It's cool to watch but all the cars, Maxima, Camry, Mazda and I think a Ford Focus are all front wheel drive probably driven on all season tires. Want to make yourself look good, just surround yourself with the weak. LOL

The commercial is cool and I like the Mercedes, but what are they trying to accomplish? Show that AWD Mercedes is better in the snow than Nissan Maxima and Mazda 3, which are FWD.

exactly... today on the highway I was glued to the back of an Audi A6 quattro... I did flash him a couple of time to move over as I was in hurry to get to work... he refused then I passed him in the right... latter he cough up with me rolled down his passenger window and asked me what type of a awd system my car has??? With my brand new set of dunlop winter sport 3m tires all around I told him that my car has only one wheel drive , I have the 5 speed with the non-lsd transmission... its not the car people, tires and driver skills is the answer... sure awd systems are very nice but if you don't have the proper tires they are useless... I bet you guarantee that the benz in the commercial has studded tires

Only a fool would believe the reason he's not all over the place is due to his AWD technology, then again people will go buy the car because of this commercial Look at all the cars, they're all turning so the car can make a j-hook intentionally, and besides I can drive in a straight line on ice with all seasons Mr Mercedes AWD, just can't go around corners or stop on it.

it is the driver... I was stuck behind a Subaru forester with fresh winters and the guy was doing 40 km/h in a 60 zone n I was doing limit Next to him when I passed on used all season LSD 5 PSD FTW I guess. But What a waste On buying awd and not even using it at all

I don't care how many wheel drive you have, if you are rocking summer tires or even all seasons, you will be like them in that video.

My friend has an R32, and he slides around as much as anyone since he's on summer tires.

That's why I say, if you live in a winter climate, get dedicated snows, and put 'em on from Oct-Apr, that's what I do.

You mean I'm not supposed to slide across 3 lanes when climbing a hill with 180 tread wear tires? Everyone else moved out of my way

If you mean M-B copying Audi in terms of awd, you are not technically correct. Remember, not all all-wheel-drive systems are created equal. Audi generally has fwd-based awd systems (basically everything other than the Q7 and the R8, iirc). That is why Audi sells vehicles (in Europe, at least) like the fwd A6/A7 and the fwd-mpg-special A8 Hybrid. Mercedes-Benz, as you should know, offers standard rwd on its [larger] models. And, the industry trend is toward awd, as many customers in colder climates have demanded it. So look for awd models from Lincoln to Jaguar.

But, to the commercial, it is all a bunch of poppycock, because, in reality, no C-Class buyer would cross-shop one of the vehicles shown (Maxima, Mazda3, Camry, Impala (?)). And like NmexMAX said, tires (and how you drive) make much more of a difference!

Oh sorry I meant Mercedes copying Audi's external styling, namely LED running lights. Now its on Lexus and VW. Then again I do recall reading a 7th gen thread where someone mentioned test driving a few premium brand vehicles and one test drive in the 7th gen Maxima was all it took to sign the papers.
