Kensun HID kit review

I haven't seen too many threads about this brand so I'll write a little review for you guys.

Product link:
Amazon.com: Kensun HID Xenon Conversion Kit "All Bulb Sizes and Colors" with "Slim" Digital Ballasts - H3C - 3000k - 2 Year Warranty: Automotive Amazon.com: Kensun HID Xenon Conversion Kit "All Bulb Sizes and Colors" with "Slim" Digital Ballasts - H3C - 3000k - 2 Year Warranty: Automotive

Lots of good reviews on Amazon. I bought the H3C 3000k slim ballast kit to put in my fogs. Its a 35 watt kit according to the customer service rep. $78.18 shipped. I ordered Wednesday and got the package today because they ship from New Jersey.

I didn't want to spend $150 on Morimoto's, and I didn't want to wait 2 weeks for DDM to ship from China, so Kensun seemed like a good choice to me.

They come in a nice little brief case and have a relatively decent set of warnings and instructions. I can't install them yet because Connecticut is getting hit hard by a blizzard right now, so all I have for now are some quick cell phone pictures of the bulbs, ballasts, and packaging. I'll update the thread when I can get a good day to install them.

The case the kit comes in.

How long ago did you order from DDM? The most recent reviews I have read about them have been pretty much all negative.

I ordered from DDM only a few months ago, and it took 6 business days to reach me from china. By far the best HIDs I have purchased. The 3000k is ridiculous is person, and I have 5000k in my headlights, and I must say I will only go through DDM from now on for HID bulbs and ballasts. Hopefully your ballasts hold up, that was my falldown with every other cheap HID brand. DDMs fire up right away everytime

When you get a chance to install them after the storm could you post some pics? I was thinking of putting some HIDs in my fogs but I really don't want to blind people and retrofitting fogs looks expensive.

I got the kensun kit for my fog lights after my third DDM tuning kit went out. I'm done with dem because getting them to warranty their product is like pulling teeth.

I recently ordered from DDM on December 24th. Didn't receive my package until Janurary 26th. But their products are decent for the price you pay. I've had one of their slim ballasts HID kits on my Accord for over a year with zero problems.

This is what I have heard from a lot of people that's why I wanted to stay away from DDM.

That's crazy. I don't like DDMs LEDs but shipping was prompt and my HIDs came quicker than I expected. I've got their slim ballasts too, not one problem. I also wired mine up a little different to keep the dust cap but not have to drill through it and splice wires, so maybe that has something to do with it? All my wiring is intact and not hacked and put back together so perhaps that adds to the consistent success? Idk

Ddm's are nice. I have installed many apps on bikes including my own that I ran for 3-4 years. Nice and brite. I installed them on my 08 Honda odyssey recently and they are silly brite for sure. I will be putting them in the dogs on my maxima. Also ran them in the fogs of my Altima and they were damn near out putting over my hola gem headlamps being in the fogs. I would keep an eye on the 55w kits in small housing tho. (Like fogs) I always stay with 5-6k. Knock on wood I haven't had one problem with the kits I have installed or known to be installed on my friends rides either.

I installed the Kensun 6,000K in my maxima and have had them for 18 months with no problems. I had an issue with them after about 3 months and I called into customer service. They send another set out to me no questions asked. These guys give a pretty good review with a lot of photos of the different color options: http://www.headlightreviews.com/hid-...or-comparison/
