http://www.shiftice.com/spring_strut_decision.html

This place is full of useful information. I was searching on here for months before I joined. The above link was one of the useful things I came across before deciding on a set of lowering springs. Also a great how-to on that site for install! From one noob to another... the search bar is your friend

Si mang, we are truly nice well meaning peoplez,

just do yourself the favor and try to understand what you are asking before you ask it, this is most commonly done by searching to see what information is out there... i.e.

Bad: "YO, wat modz should I do to my max to get moar powah?"

Good: "So I see that the nwp spacing kit seems to be one of the first mods that alot of people on here do, is there a difference between the 3 piece and the 5 piece?"

and since we are chatting

OP, what are your feelings on bacon?

welcome to the org.

this is what a normal max looks like...up on stilts....

yours looks smaller, but honestly that picture is blurry and the wheelgap is very hard to distinguish, but it looks like you may be down 1/2 an inch or so all around, so that is a very mild drop.

Wat you thinkin about?

wanna go strut/spring combo?

coilovers?

what width tire you wanna run?

do you like your axles? (as in don't want to replace them yearly)

are you a fan of fender rolling?

take all these answers and you should have a pretty good idea of what you wanna do to your car.

I wasn't insinuating anything. However, there for awhile it seemed the first response to anyone asking a question was "!@#!@# SEARCH". While I was not berated in this manner when I joined, I did feel a little bad for some of the newbies whom received that treatment on first contact. (I'll admit the last couple of weeks it has improved greatly. Maybe somebody was whipped and beaten or something?)

OP: I'm not certain you are lowered. I'd think your brother should be able to tell you the name of the drop springs. Maybe he told you it was lowered so you wouldn't start messing with it? Brotherly love and all.

I thought Eibach was the most conservative. Shiftice's has great images comparing, but I'll post a couple of mine. Main reason I'm posting, whether you're lowered or not, I think if you go with a nice 18" rim with 35 offset and good width tire, it will really fill in that fender gap. Here is a comparison of my Eibach drop with 17" rims (stock offset and tire size) and then with 350z rims and 35 offset and wide tire.
