Car stalling ... No I didn't search.

hello im a noob and this question may have already been answered but I couldnt find it. Anyway i have a 5 gen maxima and last night i was going up a hill and my car died but it started back up a few minutes later and i didnt think anything about it because it has been doing it but not regularly. So today i was pulling into a store and it died and after i got it started the cel came on so now im worried because its my work car so can anybody help me because ive searched and i dont know if its the fuel pump, fuel filter, crankshaft sensor or what. And also sometimes before this happen the car would slow down while i was driving and then pick back up again any help would be greatly appreciated.

Go to any major auto parts store and have them read your codes (Advance Auto, AutoZone, etc.) and then come back to the forum. It could be any number of things at this point. The codes will help narrow it down a LOT.

AND WRITE DOWN THE NUMBERS!

Do you have a OBD reader?

Get one or get the car to a store that can read it for you and see what the obd reader tells you

I'll put my money on the CPS sensor.

Have you found that the stalling issue only occurs once the engine has reached operating temp? I found this issue happened when my CPS sensor went on bank2, at first I received no SES light to indicate the issue but after a view times on went the SES ... So my best guess without knowing the code you are throwing would be you have an issue with the CPS

Now you need to know the SES error code mine was for bank2 P0345 on my 03 Max.

What year is your Max?

Well then you really do need to get the code read the guys have suggested a couple of places that can do it for you if you do not have a code reader. The codes for the CPS are
Bank 1 = P0340
Bank 2 = P0345

Either sensor is very easy to change as it is held in place by a single 10 mm bolt unclipping the harness is done by pushing the green tab downward until it unlocks, then uplug take care in gently extracting the CPS sensor and then replace.

Up here in Ontario the CPS sensors sell for approx. 80.00 a piece you most likely only need to replace the one throwing the code ... DO Not get an aftermarket sensor get a real OEM replacement to afford other issues.
