2k2 6spd engine jerks at low gear

Hello gang,

I cruise in 2-gear at less than 20mph looking for a parking position with gass off for a while then gass in a while, my 6spd jerks and feels like want to go faster.

Does anybody have the similar problem?

thanks

Yeah keep giving a little gas. I price to pay for having closer gear. I guess to people looking it just looks like you wanna race them. Just very light throttle seems to control it.

Don't all manual cars have that? In 1st and 2nd if you let off the gas and accelerate again, it jerks a little.

I have another problem (although its not in a Maxima, but a 240sx), if I go into a higher gear and I slow down & the rpms dip too low (below 1.7K) I can feel a vibration coming from the tranny. Is that normal?

ya it's a byproduct of having a standard. the 2k2 maxima is one of the smoothest cars down low though. if you know how to modulate the gas you won't get any bucking.
