I have a 5th gen maxima se manual. Lately I have had a problem with it stalling when I let off the gas and brake while in neutral. I've tried cleaning the throttle body and fuel injector cleaner. Any ideas?

 

check for a vacuum leak (cracked rubber hose)

your fuel pump may be failing

Just had to deal with this problem on the wife's 2001 Camry, turned out the idle control valve was full of carbon and causing the valve to stick in the open position. I'm pretty sure our Maximas use one too. Might be a good idea to make sure it's clean and moves freely. For some reason this failure never set any codes on the Camry.

 

What year? And when you cleaned the tb did you touch the plate also if you u plugged it you may need a relearn

 

No, there are no SES codes for it.

 

It's a 2000. And I don't think I don't think I touched the plate when I cleaned it.
