Chunks of metal inside UIM

While removing the UIM which I'm swapping over onto the 6th gen 3.5 I noticed oil chucks and chips of metal shaving inside of the neck and of the manifold. I have no clue where this could have come from. Any ideas???? And if someone can please answer this question.

Can you use the THROTTLE BODY with the neck from the 6th gen on the back of the upper intake manifold? I had an high idle code before I spun the rod and did the relearn with no help. Really don't to have and by a new TB.

I've seen this a few times before at the shop but not on a maxima.

Normally metal from a spun rod, damaged bearing or piston will get into the oil and some of it will get pumped up to the head and then will get sucked through the valve cover breather hose back into the intake.

But its very rare and normally only happens when a engine goes.

Only other thing i can think of is if you have a aftermarket metal cold air intake and some metal shavings were left inside when it was made or someone else tried to port the throttle body opening with it installed on the car with a dremel or something and some made it in.

a few weeks before this happened I took the UIM off and cleaned it. After the the spun rod metal was just everywhere. Look down into the LIM there's oil sitting on top of the valves that are closed. Any idea...??? but what about the TB from the the 6th gen 3.5 auto. can I use it for my manual?
