replacement engine question

i have been searching hi and low for a replacement engine for my 03 maxima and it seems for an engine from years 02-03 are running around $1,100 and 2004 and 06-08 engines are running about $1,300.but my question pertains as to why when i look at the 2005 engines i can get them for around $600.00 to $700.00,is there something in this year of engine that i should be concerned about or what could be the deal with it being a much lower price?i have found 2-05 engines one with 51k miles for $700 and another with 77k miles for $600.00,thanks for any help.

02-08 engines
04^ require changing oil pans an intake manifold and swapping 2 sensors from old engine over due to different plug on some.
