I bought it from some older guy that never did anything to it. It's got 160k on it, but the motor is still going strong. I have to replace the ECM and IACV before it goes anywhere, but that will be completed soon. Although, with the warm weather coming I want to start making it look half-way decent.

I'd love to lower it, but I live in Connecticut and need this as my year-round vehicle. If I choose to lower it, it'll get eaten up by snow in the winter and be covered in rust within the next couple of years. Other than lowering it, what'd be some cool mods to throw into it? Not dipping too much into performance right now, mostly appearance. I'm sick of working under the hood of that thing right now.

Any pics of some modifications that you guys have done? I'd like to get a few ideas.

I don't have pics of it at the moment, but it's silver color with the spoiler. Has medium tints. Stock rims.

I like smoked side markers with led bulbs. Cheap and easy. Unless your brackets are rusted out like mine were >http://forums.maxima.org/5th-generat...ml#post8760076

Maybe find some 5.5 gen headlights.

I would suggest maintenance stuff first.

seriously though man, if you wanna go with apearance I would kill the red/orange marker lights, 5.5 headlights or AE those, rims and for the love of god, fix that wheel gap it kills the look of our cars. Im not slammed but lots of guys that live up your way are low. And face it rust is gonna get you there or when its 2 inches lower. Maybe a bit darker on the tint, and try to get rid of some of that rust on the rotors and calipers. just my .02

Lol that's true. I'm just scared of lowering it because the terrain up here sucks for low cars. But I'm sure it won't be that bad unless I slam it. I was gonna look into HIDs, and I agree those marker lights are atrocious. I just don't know what to do to a car of this color. If it was all white or all black, I'd have ideas up the ***. Thanks for the help though!

What maintenance stuff do you see via appearance? I've spent the last 3 months working under the hood. I don't think the rotors are rusted since I just changed them in February. The rust is probably stained on there from the caliper and all that other **** under there

I'd consider a fully tune up before you go any further steps but once you finish that. Get a good 17-18in Rims because those stock wheels has got to go man...

Any 5th Gen will look 100 times better with 5.5Gen headlights. Should be the first mod.

That and some nice 17s, perfect look for the car and makes it look more upscale.

I was more saying for Smoked Side markers and 5.5 headlights, got same color did Paint job, Stillen Lip, BC coilovers, Ionic Roof Spoiler, Front License plate delete, smoked front side markers didn't want to do the rear ones like the Red, and Tint 5% in back and 20% in the front which will soon be 5% also...

I would give it a good tune up, and then a thorough detail inside and out. Wax, shampoo carpet, all that. As far as changes, I would do HIDs off a 02 or 03, rims too, and darker tint but not much else. The rest of the money I would spend on a nice sound system, and with any money left over I would consider getting stuff like eyelids, maybe the AE Nissan body kit too.
