oil pan o rings

no one had the o - rigs listed and i didnt feel like ordering the o rings online so i had called the dealer and they wanted $7.62 for each one, i told the guy F#*k that. i ended up finding them at NAPA for $1.10 each. they had box full of metric 0 rings and had the right size. the box said they are for automotive and marine use and oil/grease resitant.

why does the dealer charge so much for those 2 red o rings ??

car is driving fine and so far no leaks after 100 miles..

It's the dealer man...they overprice all their stuff. Hell I was there one time and noticed a nice key ring, guess how much it was? $24.99!!!! I dropped it and never looked back.

Anyway,

I actually got my O-ring changed as well a few days ago for a leak, hope this fixed it!

Yeah, I just did my half moon seals and replaced the orings.

I can't recall if I used the dealer parts or not. I think so, even though they were not red. Both came in one package. Generally, when something is that labor intensive, I will spend the extra just to be sure.

They charge that much because they can.

I used all oem seals the first time I did my rear main seal and pan. once I saw that the fel pro's rear main seal is sourced from the same company as nissan's I fidnt go oem the second time around....
