Man, you need some specifics. Does the rpm bounce or drop? Is the car vibrating? Miles? Recent work? Ho long as his been happning? Codes? How does the car run? Can you feel the rumble or is it jst a sound?

A few things come to mind. MAF may be going out or a coil acting up on a cold engine..spark plugs old or new? With thay many miles it could be something more serious but it is hard to tell. Hopefully someone with more experience can jump in and help now that you have given a little more info! Gl

After the car starts does this rumble go away? Or is it only during starting?

Or does the rumble last until the engine warmed up.

I was thinking the same i'm not used to cars coming in the shop saying there's a rumble. Maybe running rough on startup?

well if its a rattle and only happens at startup sometimes I would expect its timing chain rattle. If it happens for more than a second or is in fact a rumble, its something else
