time for a new car

As you guys may know I am driving an 03 infiniti I35 but now its time to move on. I am currently on the market to get a new car. I have about 16k to spend and I was thinking about a g35 coupe or sedan. I need some more suggestions on what i should get. I love the look of the g35 a lot. In addition, I cant drive a stick so i have to stick with the automatics. thanks

Assuming you've liked your I35...
Sounds like you would suit a G sedan, a nice mix of performance and luxury, as well as practical. And don't forget sexy.

Don't get the Infiniti G Coupe, forget the more luxury and more price and BTW more expensive on certain parts and repairs. I would get the way faster and better car, that is if you're going for more speed not luxury. Get a used NISMO 350z and forget it. $20k will get you into a really nice one with under 30k miles!

I used to have an I30 which was same exact car as my Max, and despite the few added luxury features I would always pick a max over that car now. Stock for stock the Maxima is the same car as the Infiniti but handles way better (thanks to SE model over luxury tuned suspension) and is definitely way more responsive in driving. Of course if you hook em up, the Infiniti can end up the better looking car, but same mods in both the nissan is always gonna be the better performer.

I would go for a lower end car than a G with fewer miles at your $16k price point. It looks like you would end up with a car thats already nearing 100k miles when you could get a much nicer (sort of) 2010 lower model car with better mileage, more fresh suspension, engine, bushings, etc and better interior features. If I HAD to choose between a 2010 3.5 altima with 40k miles and a 2005 G35 with 100k miles I would pick the altima

G35's are nice. I owned an 03 Blk Sedan. Had spring, shocks, big brake to 07 350z, exotic speed Titanium exhaust, stainless Y and a bunch of other things. I regret selling it almost every day. Wife got pregnant and I paniced for some reason and sold it cause it wasnt family enough.... Stupid.... Anyways G35 sedan or even BMW. BME cost more and cost more to up keep, but are a dream to drive. I had a 2001 540i 6pd MT. After an engine and about $4000 in parts, it was a dream...

My suggestion is dont listen to anybody, just to test drive the crap out of as many cars as you want. and dont buy a car because it looks nice, buy it cause you want to drive it.

if you have 16k to spend on a new car, get an 08-09 g37 coupe or sedan. Then can be had for that price now.

I dont think that i will get a coupe. I really like the g35 coupe and 350z but insurance will be kinda high. I have narrowed it down to an Acura TL and g35 sedan. However, those cars in Houston have a lot of mileage.
