Hello everyone. I am new to this but I have gone through most of the threads and have a few questions. I am a newbie and the first thing I did was make the mistake of going on carid.com and purchasing the Weapon R Secret Weapon Air Intake System. Could you all please tell me who makes the best intake system when it comes to quality? I see all the mod advice and Cattman is where I may go for headers and exhaust. Anymore suggestions for this specific model?

Just wanting a short ram? They only gain there is the sound. If you go with cold air it's useless unless you make it a true cold air by cutting the fender or something. I personally run a custom built one made from stainless pipe coupled to my MAF sensor and adapts to the throttle body with a belmouth velocity air filter. But again it's mostly just for noise.

at least you made your mistake early. Make a custom intake with a velocity stack. Could even do a 4" intake. GAB is always their on the cheap

Custom Build?

Thank you all for the warm welcome and advice given. I have no clue where to start on a quality custom built intake? Any suggestions? What is GAB? Does anyone know if the Cattman headers and exhaust systems are legal in California? Does quality matter when it comes to front tower bars and rear sway bars? I see Cattman does those also. Any input on those? I only want the best of the best. Any suggestions? Pics coming soon.

You can't just throw a 4" intake on there. It requires a wideband, tuning device and larger injectors (390-440cc).

For the time being, go with JWT/Stillen. I've found that to be the best intake out tehre commercially available.

Or, you could get a velocity stack, MAF adapter, and filter for about the same price as the aforementioned intakes.

Personally, I'd spend more time with worthwhile mods, like headers and/or suspension. Then work on the intake, but it's all dependent on what your plans are.

A few more questions...

Thanks guys for the feedback! What is GAB? Does quality matter when it comes to front tower bars and rear sway bars? I see Cattman does those also. Besides quality, why are Cattman's sway bars/suspension kits so expensive? I paid at least $50 more for the Weapon R Secret Weapon intake. Why is Injen better? Are any of the Cattman products illegal in California?
