so I dropped a sockets...

Installing NWP spacers and I am almost done when I drop the sockets(big to little adapter crap) near the firewall that holds the two connectors. It could have just fallen on the ground, but no, it falls inside the heat shield on my manifold. Time for another trip to Sears to get a magnetic thingamajig.

Tip for garage mechanics; buy good tools, and have anything you may need on hand.

Yeah I found out a long time ago that the magnetic extension picker upper is a must have when I dropped a bolt into an intake track.

I don't want to look like an idiot but... oh what the hell, too late for that anyway. Is the throttle body rotated 180? The cable seems rather taut.

I had a 50/50 shot. I blame Nissan for putting the wording on the bottom.

wow, that was dumb. That thing about removing the bracket? I guess that was important. I thought that it was going to clear, but it did not. I adjusted it so that it does clear now. All I did was bend it back a little. I didn't bother to remove the UIM but just re-torqued the bolts. It's running now.
