Is your car a 5 or 5.5 gen? Doesn't look familiar in the closeup so I will assume 5g. Check this link for the FSM and pick your year. http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/Maxima/ You want the SC section for starting and charging. Look for the charge sys wiring diagram.

Hard to tell the colors in the pic. But assuming your car is '00-'01 (colors are dif on mine so it must be) here is what you need. Although I am not sure if the diagram is looking at the connector or at the harness.

 

on the 2000 & 2001, the yellow/black stripe wire goes towards the engine and the white/red stripe wire goes towards the radiator, which is the way your photo shows them.
