Hey guys, I just picked up a 02 5.5 6mt in black and it has a sideswipe on the passenger side. I am trying to get replacement doors in black, I have located doors but they are from a 4th gen maxima, will they open and close properly on my 5th gen? I checked the part numbers on the door shells, they are different but the doors look identical. Can someone confirm if they will work? Thanks a million guys, heres a picture of the damage for you guys, I also have a terrible case of the wheel arch rust. Picking up the doors sunday, need a definite by then

 

I'd be very surprised if they fit. They may look similar, but there are thousands of angles, widths, curves, etc. that would have to match-up exactly. Otherwise, it'll leak like a sieve.

 

4th gens will not work on a 5th gen. these doors are so cheap, why even bother with anything else. Any door from 2000 to 2003 will work, black is a popular color.

Check car-part.com or craigslist.

 

I think you're talking about is the door skin, since that are cheap to replace but definitely difficult to work with it since they use some kind of door skin air hammer tool. Like the guys says better off getting a door from the junkyard 00'-03'
