4th Gen/5th Gen Compatibility

Will a front Strut bar for a 4th gen (stillen) fit a 20002 5th gen?

Also, will the rear sway bar for a 4th gen fit a 20002 5th gen?

Thanks in advance

don't know what all changed from 01 to 02, but yes it will fit with some modifications. Nothing real drastic, but you have to shave off part of the factory brace.

Try searching for this and you will see what I am talking about. About a year ago this was being done on a regular occassion. Also, punkdork did this from what I can remember. My try PM'ing him ...

Good luck ... sorry punk dork if I am mistaken on your mods ...

it fits, but there might be clearance issue. Also, dude or dudette who wants to put 4th gen bars on their 5th gen has to do some cutting action to the, like, intake thingy...

Oh, didn't mention that what I was saying was for the FSTB.

As for the RSB ... but I don't think it will work

4th gen RSB does work on 5th gen. But installation will be a little difficult because of the different mounting points on the 5th gen.

So Addco had came up with a RSB specifically for the 5th gen which makes installation easier and make the RSB more efficient than using 4th gen's.

Yeaaaaaaaaaaah Baby, the 4th gen FSTB fits, I put it on my car. Take a look see on my homepage. It fit.

You basically got to cut off a small part of the stock air box bracket on the drivers side. You will know exactly how much once you try to put it on. Just mark it, and get out a hacksaw, and start hacking. Then it will clear. BELIEVE ME, it is fine.

This is what you need to hack off. See no one will notice once the FSTB is on and the Stock Airbox is back in place.

Finished hacking, now the FSTB plate will clear. See was that so hard?

You can use a dremel too. Pictures are courtesy of MaxFAQ
