Code P0345 03 Maxima SE
2003 Maxima SE bought new in Dec 02. 84K miles. Over 10 years and no repairs - all service performed.
My story: Over a 3 week period in June 2013 experienced total engine stall 4 times while driving. First when accelerating from idle (no codes); 2nd a week later while entering a parking space at idle (no codes); 3rd a week later while accelerating on an interstate on-ramp at @60 mph (again, no codes). Each time, waited a couple of minutes and it would start back up and drive home with no problems. Odly enough, after the first event, I went to Advanced Auto to have the battery checked (2 yrs on a good 7 year batttery) and they said the battery was bad and gave me a brand new one free.
Each event was in the heat of sunny hot days. It was as if someone hit a "kill switch" or just turned the ignition switch off. After the 3rd event, drove it to my shop & they kept it 3 days & drove it 50+ miles with no success & no codes. Picked up the car and drove 3 miles from the shop (again, heat of the day) and it died going about 45 mph. Immediately drove back to the shop. This time showed code P0345. Replaced both cam position sensors and the crank sensor.
No problems since. Hope this helps someone.
