Link to HID Fog conversion TUT?

Tried searching... does anyone have a link to a HID fog light conversion tutorial for the 2002 Maxima?

I have the parts from a friend; Ballast, hid bulbs etc.

Thanks in advance.

Hope you're using the H3c's (shorties). Also, protect those lenses with some thick Laminex film. I highly suggest against running a 55 watt setup in those small housings.

Well I actually bought the fog lights from supra11's part out thread. He claimed to have HID foglights, but sent me fogs with the regular bulbs and shipped me a seperate HID kit from China... I was led to believe they were already wired but now I have to wire them my self and I just realized that the bulbs provided were not the short H3c's.

Attached is a picture of the new bulb (left) and the oem bulb (right). Will this bulb still work?

Also, they are 35w.

Regular H3's can fit but are problematic IMO. Because they are so long, you will have to play with the deflector adjustment or insert a screwdriver to bend it in order for the longer H3's to fit. To me, that says a shorter H3c should be used. The fact the housing is designed for a shorter bulb to begin with just seems to emphasize the use of H3c to me.

I'll just say it like this: Yes you can get away with the H3. But, the H3c is a more appropriate bulb/better fit for this housing.

Thanks. Only reason I am asking, is that I ordered "h3c" bulbs and when they arrived, they looked a lot like h3's. I made them fit, but was curious where other people are ordering theirs from.

I got my H3C's off Amazon from a seller called Kensun. Their kits are $60-70 and come with a 2 year warranty. I believe they sell bulbs by themselves also.
