02 Maxima hesitation

My 02 Max is hesitating on me at all speeds. No SES codes thrown, and the SES light works. It's bad enough that the car will occasionally kick me out of cruise control, but normally it's soft enough to just be annoying. Fuel economy is down a few mpg. On the flip side, sometimes it will run for 20 miles perfectly. I burn 93 octane and have been running Lucas Oil in my fuel for a couple of weeks-no improvement. I replaced the MAF and Knock sensor on it last weekend-no improvement there either. I'm out of ideas. Any of you guys run into anything like this?

Could any of these go bad, and not throw a code?

Is it auto or manual? If it's manual, then there was a TSB for hesitation that required a software reflash.

Thanks for your response tomcat. My 02' is an automatic. I replaced the MAF first, thinking it was the most likely culprit, although it was only a best guess with no codes to work with-didn't have any improvement there. I did not get the ECM update in this bulletin. I've never done anything with the ECM, assuming it's something the dealer has to do?
Big bucks to do it?

I didn't know there was any TSBs out for this problem. Mine is an automatic, but it looks like tomcat has an update for my model. Thanks for your response.

I may have put the wrong MAF in my 02 Max. This car has run for 11 years like a champ, thought before I start upgrading things as listed on the TSB tomcat sent me-I'd just replace the original MAF with the same PN. Can anyone tell me what the OEM part number is? The door sticker gives me a date of 01/02, I think thats the mfg date?

Thanks. Is a reflash required?
